A pressure vessel is a closed container that can withstand pressure. Pressure vessels are widely used and play an important role in many industrial, civil, military, and scientific research fields. They are most commonly used in the chemical and petrochemical industries, with pressure vessels used in the petrochemical industry alone accounting for 50% of the total number of pressure vessels.
In the chemical and petrochemical industries, pressure vessels are mainly used in heat transfer, mass transfer, and reaction processes, as well as for storing and transporting pressurized gases or liquefied gases; they also have wide applications in other industrial and civil fields, such as air compressors.
